One of the reactive organs of the body is underarm, and if we are to weigh it against the rest of the areas of our body, it is pretty understandable that they’re darker with unnecessary hair. This is because of sweat and pigmentation. Our underarms perspire too much, and since it is only a small area, wetness has the tendency to remain there for a long time. Because of this, our armpits turn dark with unnecessary hair all over, which then become a problem for most women.
A lot of women search for ways on how to get rid not only the dark spot, but the unwanted hair as well. Why allow the embarrassment to take place, when you can find a solution that won’t cost you an arm and a leg? And because of this, underarm waxing is regarded as one of the few well-known methods for hair removal. (more…)
Prior to scheduling an appointment for a bikini wax at a beauty salon, it is best that you are familiar with the waxing procedures available. You need to know if you wish to get rid of all your hair in the pubic region or only in certain areas. Most salons or spas today will use hot wax as their preferred product as this is more gentle on the sensitive areas.
The most common types of bikini waxes are the following:

While some people suffer from loss of hair, others are frantic about having their body or facial hair removed. Unwanted hair can be seen on the upper lip, chest, back, underarm, legs, chin, or bikini, and those who want a hair-free body look for an effective way to get rid of their unnecessary hair for a longer period of time with not much trouble.
This is where hair waxing comes in. Waxing is among the most common and oldest methods to remove unnecessary hair. There are 2 main types of wax used in a standard beauty salon or spa, these are hot wax – which is used in sensitive areas like eyebrows, face and bikini, and strip wax- used in larger areas like arms, legs and back. In a hot waxing procedure, hot wax is applied on the skin allowing it to cool and dry before pulling off in the other direction of hair growth. Unbelievable as it seems, but men who would like to have their hair waxed are increasing in number these days, and this is probably due to the fact that some women do not really find hairy guys attractive. As you can see, even male models posing in a sport or fashion magazine do not possess a hairy chest, and companies that sell products or services acknowledge the fact that women get fascinated with men who have less hair, so they make use of this in their marketing endeavor. And let’s face it; men with less hair have a much cleaner look.
Not only is spa a woman’s getaway. In fact, more and more spas are now offering waxing services exclusively for men, which include back waxing, chest waxing, eyebrow waxing and even genital waxing. (more…)

In today’s fashion conscious world, getting rid of body hair is no longer a domain of a woman; even men do so. The reasons could be anything ranging from a man wanting to look more cleaner or plain, need to look trendy and be the ‘metro sexual’ man. Of course, in earlier days too, men used to trim their hair on the beard or on other parts of the body to look neat and well groomed. There are many ways to get rid of the hair on the body or some part of it. These methods include tweezing, electrolysis, trimming of body hair and even waxing. In fact, there are many spas that offer facilities for a full body wax for men.
Waxing can be extremely painful if performed by inexperienced hands. You can run the risk of getting your skin burnt due to application of hot body wax or end up having red patchy and irritated skin due to waxing being performed by novices. Hence, it is highly imperative that you come and visit a proper salon like ours where we employ only trained professionals to do the job. Our services include waxing on various parts of the body such as arms, legs, chest to stomach, male genital area, chin and lips. (more…)

A Brazilian wax is a type of Bikini wax which involves the removal of ALL pubic hair in the genital region. Whilst the process does not tickle and can be quite painful at times, the Brazilian has become one of the most popular services in the bikini wax family. At Ayurve we only use Hot Wax for the removal of the hair which is far more gentle and less painful on the area compared to the common use of strip wax which can be too harsh on the delicate skin. Here a few tips and precautionary measures to take when preparing, during and after your Brazilian Wax:
Precautions:
- Brazilians can only be done when the pubic hair is at least half a centimetre long, but it can also be too long so please trim down to at least a centimetre before hand to reduce chances of it being too painful.
- Brazilian waxing should not be done on pimples; new scars raised moles or open sores. (more…)
