What is Hyperpigmentation?
Hyperpigmentation is an increased production of melanin in the epidermal or dermal layers of the skin, which causes the skin to become darker in patches. It is seen in the form of freckles, moles, Melasma ( seen in pregnancy ) , Sun spots, Mottled pigmentation, which is mainly seen around the neck and decollatage and is caused by over exposure to the sun. Not all pigment can be treated successfully, this is why we strongly suggest a consultation to see wether we can treat. |
