The word shirodhara, comes from the Sanskrit language, meaning head ('shiro') and flow ('dhara'). In Ayurveda, Shirodhara means the flow of warm oil on the head.
Shirodhara is known for its curative as well as rejuvenating properties, eliminating disease and improving vitality. In this treatment, the entire body is massaged with warm oil and then the client lies down in a supine position (on the back) and warm medicated oil is released from vestibule above the head and applied to the forehead ('third eye').

Spa Etiquette |
| Clothing - For the spa bath, we provide disposable underwear for men and women. You may also bring your own swimming costume.
Health - Please advise the therapist (at the time of booking) of any health conditions you may have including pregnancy,cold & flu, back problems, tinea, cancer etc.You may be required to provide medical certificates for serious conditions such as cancer.
Arrival - Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start time,to allow completion of spa forms and for change time.
Parking - Parking may be available in QVB Carpark or Bowlers Club Carpark (168 Clarence St Sydney - large 4WD's not permitted).Street parking available after 6.30pm Monday-Friday or after 10am Saturdays on York Street, Clarence St, Sussex Street, Kent Street. Check RTA website.
Booking - A credit card is required to secure the booking.
Cancellation Fee - A 100% cancellation fee applies if less than 24 hours notice is given. |
